What is a Meal Plan?
A Meal Plan is your all-access pass to delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and Monty Bucks, conveniently loaded onto your Campus Card. No need to carry additional cards!

Meal Exchange
At 1923 at Lion’s Den, you can exchange Meal Swipes for select meals marked with a paw print
Monty Bucks
Monty Bucks is campus currency that is accepted at all campus dining locations ($1.00 Monty Buck = $1.00 Value)
Living on Campus?
A Meal Plan is required! Students are automatically defaulted to the Basic Plan. Upgrade or make changes to your meal plan by the 12th day of classes (Census Date)

When do Weekly Meal Plans reset?
Weekly Plans end on Thursdays after dinner service and reset every Friday before Breakfast
What happens if I run out of Meal Swipes for the week?
All campus dining locations are cashless!
We accept Monty Bucks or Credit, Debit, or Tap-to-Pay. We do not accept American Express.
Where are the Byte Vending Machines?
Visit a Byte Vending Machine near you:
- CCAC Building (Next to Lion’s Den)
- Mountaineer Fitness Center
- Oaks Apartments
- Hangar Aviation Center

What if I want to eat in the dining hall and take a to-go box?
Ask a cashier! Your Campus Card will be swiped for two meals.
Why do I have to have my Campus Card to enter dining hall?
Your Campus Card is your all-access pass to campus dining! Whether you’re planning to eat in the dining hall or grab a bite at Lion’s Den, your card is how we swipe to use your Meal Plan.
You Campus Card is also required to scan and enter the Convenience Store located at the Oaks Apartments.
How do I sign up for GrubHub and use it on campus?
Here’s how to get started:
- Download the Grubhub App
- Create an account using your schreiner,edu email
- Select Schreiner University under “Campus Dining”
- Link your Campus Card to use Meal Exchange and Monty Bucks
- Start ordering from the full Lion’s Den menu, including Starbucks!
Managing Your Plan
Check your Meal Swipe and Monty Buck Balance:
- Link your Campus Card in the Grubhub App to see your balance on your phone
- A cashier at all dining locations can swipe your card to find your remaining balance/meals
