2024-2025 Meal Plans

A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, all accessible with your Campus Card. Meal Plans are in three tiers – Platinum, Gold and Basic – each offering different combinations of Meal Swipes and Monty Bucks based on your lifestyle. All students living on-campus are required to purchase a meal plan.

Residence Life will default you on the Basic Meal Plan based on classification. You can upgrade or make changes to your meal plan before the 12^th day of classes.

To upgrade or make changes to a Meal Plan, visit Residence Life - Schreiner University to complete a Meal Plan Request Form.

With your meal plan, you receive many benefits and perks, including:

May I treat a guest to a meal?

Yes, Meal Swipes may be given to a friend or family. You must be present with your Campus Card to use a Meal Swipe for a guest meal. Monty Bucks or Credit/Debit payment may also be used to purchase a guest meal.

 

What do I do if I use up my Meal Swipes before the end of the week?

You may use your Monty Bucks balance to purchase a meal or pay with Credit/Debit at the door. View our accepted cashless payment methods to be prepared for your next visit!

 

Why do I have to show my Campus Card to enter dining hall?

It is a matter of security and safety that the school requires IDs be shown. It is true that we will come to know you as the year progresses, but it isn’t fair to require a student we may not be familiar with to show their ID and not have you show it. To be fair to everyone, IDs must always be brought to use your meal plan.

 

Why do I have to bring my Campus Card to make a purchase if I have a Meal Plan?

It is important have your Campus Card on you, especially if you purchased a Meal Plan. Your Meal Plan is loaded onto your Campus Card, so we need to swipe your Campus Card to access your funds. Always keep your Campus Card with you to ensure you can easily access your meals, snacks, and other campus dining options.

 

Do we have Grubhub on-campus?

Great question! You can now skip the line at Lion’s Den with Grubhub mobile ordering! FREE for Schreiner Students, Faculty/Staff, and community members who affiliate with Schreiner University under Campus Dining.

Can I come into the dining hall if I’m not eating?

Because we cannot monitor our guests once they pass the cashier station and as seating is limited, a guest entering the Schreiner Diner must be swiped or charged for a meal.

What if I want to eat in the dining hall and get a To-Go Box?

You just need to let the cashier know. Your card will need to be swiped for two meals. We do not allow personal to-go containers. We will provide you a to-go box, cup and silverware.

You can check your meal swipes and Monty Bucks Balance:

• Link your Campus Card in the Grubhub App to see your balance on your phone
• A cashier at all dining locations can swipe your card to find your remaining balance/meals
